James McGinlay (Jim, Brother Jim) has been Senior Pastor at First Baptist Lakeside since 1993.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Bob Jones University, and did graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He also spent 9 years in full-time evangelism and pastored several churches in Texas and Arizona before being called to serve at FBCL.
You may notice the more-than-occasional reference to baseball in his sermons...during the early 50's Bro. Jim played ball for a little team called the New York Yankees.
Bro. Jim and his wife Dottie have two children and 5 grand children. Be careful because they will be glad to tell you about them.
